Friday Oct 25

Same -- no chill -- Bed 12 -- Met Thomas Zeimetz this PM, from Como, or Palmyra. Has been equal partner with Bob Logan in the Reno mine at Palmyra, but has just sold out his half interest to Tom Hully, the millman of Six-mile canyon for $1,000 -- He got part cash, and same to Carson today in order to get a deed in perfection of his title to Hully -- Returned to Virginia on 5 PM local train -- The tunnel of the Reno mine shows a ledge from three inches to three feet wide -- Five test runs of ore have been worked from it at the Taylor mill, Silver City, the last a year ago -- about 200 tons in all -- which averaged about $30 per ton, principally gold, the bullion being worth from $3.50 to $5.50 per ounce. Zeimetz and Logan still jointly own the "Golden Chariot" and the "Columbus", the north extensions of the Reno -- Zeimetz with 2 or three others will probably work there through the winter -- Nobody working there just at prest (See Oct 30)
