Same -- cooler -- Improved attendance at the Fair -- PM & evening I wrote 3 page letter (M 2) & mailed it on east bound train at 8:40 to the Nevada State Herald, Wells, Nevada, 56 miles other side of Elko -- Bed 11 -- The Republican State Central Comm has nominated F L Littell of Dayton, Lyon Co. for Secretary of State, on the Republican ticket -- He is at present Assessor of Lyon Co, & very popular --

Wednesday Sept 21

Same - AM down town -- rec'd copy of Gardnerville Record with my letter not in it -- "Comstock Day" and big attendance at Fair -- Splendid racing -- Got free season ticket to the Fair for "Alf Doten and Family" -- Should have had it sooner but better late than not at all -- PM I built a box out of old lumber and boxed up "Abandoned" and two other smaller pictures to send to Mrs Lindsay -- Evening too tired to go down town -- Bed 10 -- Met G McM Ross, Supt, this morning at train returning to the Comstock
