In from Bodie, by V & T RR -- Same old Jim -- Born Aug 4, 1823 -- On his way to S.F. to be treated for a chronic rupture -- Also met Sam L Jones, down from Gold Hill, bound for S.F. Bed 12 -- freezing hard -- Recd Wells Herald with No 9 published in it -- The football team from the Belmont University, Cal, came on train at 1 PM and in the PM played against our University team and got beaten badly -- 26 to 0 --

Same -- AM was with old Jim Townsend, dined with him & Allen Bragg and saw him off for SF on westbound train arriving at 1:30 PM ($6) -- The East bound train arrived at same time -- Trains & mails still very irregular & unreliable on acc't of tunnel blockade -- no freight cars can pass as yet, but expect to tomorrow. The Belmont football team went back home on PM train -- our boys saw them off in good shape --
Monday Nov 14
Same -- Blockade raised early this morning, trains passing through tunnel -- About 11 AM 2 full public trains from the west & 2 from the east met & passed at this depot, making with the V & T, five full trains -- never occurred before in Reno -- All right now -- Bed 11 -- Another full train, passengers, mail etc, from Cal passed at 9:30 PM --
