Same -- Very busy days work, but no Senate session in the evening -- Assembly held session Bed 12 -- Ernst $5 --

Sunday March 5

The same -- PM and evening engaged in writing & copying a long letter to wife -- Wrote on the Senate chamber till 11:30 -- Bed 12:30 --

Monday March 6

Clear & very pleasant -- warm -- Legislature in big session -- being the 50th and last day, but they had too much business for it & will take a day or two longer -- no pay after the 50th day -- must work for nothing -- No Senate session this evening but the Assembly did -- Had up the Woman Suffrage bill -- crowded with ladies but bill was lost -- 15 to ___ -- Bed 12 -- Finished my long letter to wife this evening in Senate chamber -- 8 pages -- to be sent tomorrow -- Also inclosed "Decayed Veneration" the Alfred cursing and abusing episode -- Received kind brotherly responsive letter from John H Dennis, Reno today --
