Friday Nov 20

Variable clouds and sunshine -- Mining day -- Work as usual -- very sloppy & slipper -- 6 PM John B Fegan of Gold Hill, one of the old Comstockers died, apoplectic fit -- Fell down in his back yard while feeding his chickens -- Had been to Va all day till 3 PM & walked both ways -- About 65 yrs old & native of Philadelphia -- No hard drinker, & he wasnt drunk - Through in office at 2 -- Home -- good [Illegible] --

Wife in Va More snow

warmed feet & put jug of hot water in bed -- cloudy & clear tonight but hope more [Illegible] will come -- Still threatening --

Saturday Nov 21

Same -- Pleasant but rather cool -- Wife came on morning train at 10 -- breakfast at Chanmond's -- took walk out on South C street -- Left her in room at 3 PM & went to my regular work -- Home again at 7 & took a home lunch with her -- can oyster, grapes, crackers, a boile quince, etc -- Office till 1:30 -- Home -- Bed 2 --

Moderate snowstorm all day -- About an inch accumulated, making the side and cross
