walking very slushy and greasy, so to speak -- We rose at 9, after a second [Illegible] and complete communicatio -- which hasn't happened, or been effected since the first time or year, and all in 6 hours -- Ate lunch, breakfast at home -- cooking coffee on stove -- can of oysters, crackers etc, & fruit -- Dined at Chanmonds & she took train at 5:25 for Reno -- I didnt go down to train with her as it was too slippery for me -- Went home to room & wrote a memorial of condolence on Sharon for the Pioneers as he was a life member of the Society -- Got it done at 7:30 & hurried down to regular monthly meeting of the Pioneer Society at their Hall on B street -- I was made chairman of committe on Sharon, with Dr Jame Delevan and Lee McGown -- We reported, my memorial directly, and it was unanimously adopted -- Home -- Slept awhile -- Rose, and wrote out the copy of memorial, & full report of meeting, and another item or so for the Enterprise -- Finally bed 7 --

Variable, clouds & sunshine -- Work as usual -- letters from S Crescengo and Gibson, Austin -- Also a "Thanksgiving Story" from Lew Stevenson -- Bed at 3 --

More Snow Present of Ducks

Tuesday Nov 24

Stormy -- Snowed lightly all day -- Accumulated about an inch -- Chester Hatch who has just returned from a ducking hunt to Sink of Carson, presented me with a pair of ducks today -- fat & nice -- Will take them to Reno for Thanksgiving -- Lots of turkeys on sale in town -- 2 bits a pound -- Work as usual -- Bed 4 -- Clear & freezing --
