July 3, Monday. Evening. Before my work I had to meet Bö. We met in the city, where radio alarms disturbed the routine of life. I hesitated, to go or not to go out, but decided after all to go out to the danger area and I was right, nothing came out of the alarms, at least, not for Bpest. After my work I had to meet Erzsi’s husband, we talked affairs over, got home at 430 p.m. The same moment Mrs Hermans mother came, she is a sweet old lady. As soon as she went, Marika K. came, as we agreed upon it before. She went away at 9 p.m, cleaned all our furs, she is the cleverest of people here, her opinions are sound. She was still here, when Gabi Arnóthy a patient ‘phoned, whether she [strikethrough] ough [/strikethrough] may come so she came, I had to examine her and was left alone at 930 p.m. O, the meantime Elly H. dropped in for a minute. Nice thing, being popular but I could do with a bit less.

I heard a tale from our clerk at Oti. She lives out of town, about Aszód, where some [strikethrough] airstruggle [/strikethrough] trouble developed
