Dear Governor:— We here that our Brother, Friend and Comrad, Joe Hill, is to be executed October, 1, From what we read, we feel that it is unjust to take our Brothers life, because he is a LABOR LEADER AND WORKING FOR THE WELLFAIR OF THE LABORING CLAS. We here that his conviction, was influenced by Capitalist who were grinding the laboring man into the dust of the earth, which brother Hill was trying to circumcribe. Honerable Governor: as we the WORKERS OF THE WORLD turn our sorrow riden brows, towards the seene of the execution of our Comrad, we feel that taking the life of this hero, will be a greate blow to us, we feel that it would be a blow to the liberty of the workers.

We here by make an appeal, that you Commute the sentence of Comrad Joe Hill from Death to imprisonment, Giv this poor Man time, we feel confident that the facts of his innocent will be ascertained. break his neck there is no way for him to throw the reproach of him self and fellow man. We should remember, that those of us that have power also have responsibility, if we should stain the name of Utah, if we should stain our national honor with the innocent blood of this man it would be terrible indeed. The body of Comrad Hill can be taken but his Sole can not, what Judgement you meet out to others it shall be measured back to you in the day of Judgement , if Comrad Hill is innocent The Governor of Utah has the power to make the rong right, if Comrad Hillis innocent, and and we walk up to the Judgement bar of God with the stain of innocent blood upon our hands we shall get our just reward, Kind Governor: look in to this mater for us, take the shackels from the feet of this just man and send him back to his fellow labors who love him. Dear Sir:— We the undersigned do not believe Joe Hillstrom to be guilty of the crime with which he is charged,that he did not have a fair trial and that he was convicted upon the flimsiest of circumstantial evidence.And therefore ask your executive clemency on his behalf.

One great error, in defiance of a great principle of law, was the asking of leading questions by the District Attorney, as shown on Page 188 of the Abstract.

Spry, Dear Sir Im writing this letter asking you to let that yong man Joe Hill have justes in his next trial and let him go free for I dont think he is guilty of the crime he is being punished for, he is a true worker, I dont belive taking from a man you cant give I dont beliving taking the breath
