Sat June 3 A very good average day only
most too cool for comfort especially just at
night. Kib hoed at the truck patches and replanted
the corn north of the barn. Lew and I went over
to the flume across dry creek and put in the day
there a helping on the new flume. Had lots
of good company and got along pretty well I think.

Sun June 4 Cold and cloudy and looked like it
would rain if it could. Lew and Mary went up to the
ranch and brought back a very good report of the stock
and things up there. Mother and I staid [stayed] at home
and kept Sunday. Mrs Bartlett came here about
2 O clock and we have visited hand over hand since.

Mon June 5 Clear mostly but a little squib
of a rain about 3 O clock PM. Lew and I worked
on the flume until 3 O clock PM making 7 hours
each. Kib worked at severall [several] different jobs.

Tues June 6 A little frost this
morning but a real nice day but we could
get no water from Larimer Co Ditch so
we all went to planting black locust
seed on the timber claim and got along
nicely. We expect Meda home to night so
Kib has gone over to town to bring her
out home.

Wed June 7 A beautiful
day clear through and quite warm too. We all
planted Locust seed and got along nicely too.
We have no water in the Larimer Co Ditch
for several days. Meda expects to go back to
Boulder tomorrow.
