Tues Jan 9 Right sharp this morning
and has kept it up all day. We filled the
racks for the beef steers and got 2 loads
of ice into the ice house and have enough
cut for another load.

Wed Jan 10 Mostly clear
but a strong west wind so we got 3
loads and had to quit for the wind made
it too warm for good healthy
ice. Lew went up the Spring Canion [Canyon]
ranch to take 3 of his young cattle
up to John Dragers and he will take
Clayton too I expect.

Thurs Jan 11 A good sort of
a day. Lew got home just in time to
get ready to start for town to vist Silas
Buffoms folks. He brought his 3 heifers
to John and put Clayton into
Charleys pasture. Frank fixed the
Carrell [corral] at windy hill and sawed wood
the rest of the day. I have been quite
under the weather to day.

Fri Jan 12 Clear still and warm
as nice as one could ask. Too warm
to put up ice. Afternoon the boys
got one good load of ice and cut a good
lot of wood. I kept busy all day and
done a good many little jobs.
