Fri Nov 9 Rather cool but a pretty good
working day. John went up and helped Mr
Dixons folks thresh got back quite a spell
before noon. I worked at various things till
he got back then we washed the little potatoes
then after dinner we up to windy hill
to get the tailings and we brought down
the ballance [balance] of the coal that was left up there
after the little dab of threshing then put a
load of hay into the loft then we took care
of the little potatoes then we quit for to day [today].

Sat Nov 10 Pretty fair day. 5
This morning Frank and John plowed some over
on the west side to raise the road over there
then they hauled a load of hay and put into
the hay loft then Frank went to town to
do some errands for himself and us and he
brought out a load of coal and John and I
finished burying the apples and laid down
the raspberries. 6

Sun Nov 11 A very nice
day mostly clear quite warm and still.
Annie and the children were here to day [today] and
we had a nce [nice] visit. John went home
and reports his folks all well and those
bad people still there in our house and not
talking at all of leaving.
