Status: Complete

Thurs Aug 1st Pretty fair day and did not
storm here to day [today] at all. The boys trimmed off
the blighted limbs form the apple trees and I
helped this afternoon. This forenoon I filed
the saws three of them.

Fri Aug 2 Variable and we had a
right Smart shower about 2 O clock. We
trimmed the twig blight in the orchard
and got pretty near done. Let S H Birdsall have
75 lbs of windfall apples at 1½ cts pr [cents per] pound.

Sat aug [Aug] 3 Nice all day. Dave went to
town took over the butter and done some other
errands. Will trimmed blight some and picked
the raspberries etc. Didnt do anything myself.

Sun Aug 4 Quite nice and quite warm.
Mother and I went over to Lews. We met
Franks folks and Reas's folks and Luther and Miller
there. We had a first class visit and dinner and got
home in good time. Dave and Meda staid [stayed] at
home. Meda was quite under the weather but
is a little better to night [tonight]. Will went up to see his
mother.

Mon Aug 5 Clear still fine and
warm. Dave mowed the two pieces North
of the barn and house then went to town
with Meda who has started to seek health
but not fortune. Will has worked a little
at different kinds of Jobs. I hoed in the
forenoon and mowed around the fences
in the afternoon.
