Park Name: (Select Park Name)

Comments: : Not a park, but the site of the present day Rise Learning Center. "V" shaped building on the left is the James Whitcomb Riley Alternative School. Identified the area by recognizing the I-465 interchange with US 31 in the distance. Madison is in the foreground. The ball fields appear to be associated with the two schools.

Additional Information: Brick structure in the bottom left corner is the now demolished Edgewood School (1915 Sanborn)

Comments: : Not a park. Future site of Perry Meridian High School, looking East Northeast. SR 135 (Meridian St) is the street running across the back of the photo.

Additional Information: Dairy Queen in the upper left corner still stands today. MapIndy aerial photos show the school was constructed by 1972.

Comments: : Not a Park. Clinton Young Elementary School, Perry Township, looking East Southeast. Track for Keystone (Now Southport) Middle School is on the right side of the picture.

Additional Information: Photo is probably between 1966 and 1972. 1966 Aerial Photo from MapIndy does not show the addition wrapping around the south side of the school. 1972 aerial does. There are construction trailers in this photo, so the addition may be under active construction.

Additional Information: Meridian St is along the left side of the photo. 1972 Aerial from MapIndy shows the school was constructed.

Comments: : Glenns Valley Elementary School, looking to the north east, towards Glenns Valley Nature Park. Morgantown Rd in the foreground.

Additional Information: Picture predates the Nature Park.

Additional Information: Pre-dates Keystone Ave extension to Edgewood Ave. MapIndy aerial photo from 1972 shows this roofline for the school for the first time. The 1966 aerial doesn't.
