On motion of Uriel Crocker Esq it was Voted that the report of the Treasurer be accepted.

Superintendent's do [Report accepted] _

On motion of Simeon Butterfield Esq. it was Voted that the report of the Superintendent be accepted. _

Committee to receive and count votes for Trustees.

The President declared the next business in order to be the choice of twelve trustees, and appointed

Trustees chosen

The Committee subsequently reported the whole number of votes cast to be seventy (70)

Proprietors. .

On motion of Mr Collamore, it was

Voted, – that a Committee of three be appointed by the chair to receive, count and sort the votes for Trustees.

Com. appd to collect count and sort Votes for Trustees.

The chair appointed Messrs. John Collamore, John R. Poor and Alex Wadsworth to compose said Committee, who subsequently reported as follows, viz: –

Trustees elected

Whole number of Ballots case 84; – all of which were for the following named persons, viz: –

___ Edward Lawrence, } To serve until 1878,
___ Charles F. Choate, } By re=election.
___ Henry W. Pickering, To serve until 1877, in place of E. S. Rand, resigned.
Lack of Office accomdns at Cemetery

Col. Charles Amory called the attention of the Trustees to the great lack of suitable office accommodations at the Cemetery for the Superintendent and those employed by him, and suggested a method by which this deficiency could be easily and cheaply supplied. In reply, the Proprietors were assured by the President that the subject had already been considred by the Trustees, and would continue to receive their attention.

No other business being presented, – on motion of Mr Collamore, it was

Voted, – that this Meeting be dissolved,

Proprietors .

Annual Meeting of the Proprietors - Monday, .

A duly notified meeting of the Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn, was held at Horticultural Hall, Boston, on Monday, , at half past Three o'clock in the afternoon

A quorum being present, the meeting was called to order by the President, who also read the call for the same.

The record of the last Proprietors' Meeting was read by the Secretary and approved.

Annual Reports accepted, & ordered to be recorded.

The Annual Report of the Trustees, accompanied by the Reports of the Superintendent and Treasurer, having been distributed in print among the Proprietors present, and the Report of the Trustees having been read by the President, on motion of Mr Collamore, it was

Voted, – that the Annual Reports be accepted and recorded

On motion by Mr McClellan it was

Voted, – that a Committee of three be appointed by the chair to receive, count and sort the votes for Trustees.

Com. appd to collect, count and sort votes for Trustees

The chair appointed Messrs. John McClellan, J. T. Prince and Alex. Wadsworth to compose said Committee who subsequently reported as follows, viz; –

Whole number of ballots cast 54, – all of which were for the following named persons, viz:

James L. Little. } by re=election.

Vote of thanks to Messrs. Livermore & Turner.

On motion of Col. Hatch, it was

Voted, – that the thanks of the Proprietors are hereby presented to the retiring Trustees, Hon. Isaac Livermore and Mr Alfred T. Turner, for their faithful and valuable services.

Com. appd to col-lect, count & sort votes for Trustees.

On motion of Mr Collamore, it was

Voted, – that a Committee of three be appointed by the chair to receive, count and sort the votes for Trustees.

Voted, – that said Committee have authority to employ counsel at the expense of the corporation, and to submit their report in print.

Stevenson, Jewell, Wadsworth appd to compose Committee

The chair appointed Messrs. J. Thomas Stevenson, Harvey Jewell and Alexander Wadsworth to compose said Committee.

Granite Kerbing, &c. Trustees to enquire & rept as to expediency of On motion of prohibiting.

On motion of Mr J. Story Fay, it was

Voted, – that the Trustees be requested to enquire into and report to the Proprietors as to the expediency of hence forward prohibiting all fences and kerbing around lots, and in the grounds of Mount Auburn whether of granite, iron, or other material excepting earth.

Comtee app to collect, count & sort votes for Trustees

On motion of Mr Collamore, it was

Voted, – that a Committee of two be appointed by the chair to collect, count and sort the votes for Trustees.

The chair appointed Messrs. Collamore and McLellan to compose said committee, who subsequently reported as follows, viz: –

Election of Messrs. Brewer & Perkins

Whole members of ballots, cast. 82 all of which were for

Thomas M. Brewer, to serve until 1881, by re-election William Perkins, " [to] " [serve] " [until] " [1881], " [by] " [re-election]

and they were accordingly declared elected and as foresaid.

No other business being presented, it was

Voted, – that this meeting be dissolved.
