Dear Sir

I send you a sketch of your lot on a larger scale, which will answer to plan a curb by - Should you curb the lot, or merely grade & sod it, I shall be glad to do any or all work required in a good & substantial manner & at reasonable rates. I have a large force of men employed by the Corporation to do such work for them & for proprietors.

Dear Madam

In purchasing the piece of land for a lot at junction of Thistle Path & Mound Avenues, you would have the right to erect a fence (approved by the Committee on Lots (of the Trustees)) upon the line of the lot -

Moses A. Dow Esq

Dear Sir

I have your favor of In regard to price for perpetual care, I can not tell exactly the price until I know how you propose to finish the lot. If I remember correctly you propose to curb it. The sum necessary to keep it in repair forever, would be a sum the interest of which would pay for the average annual expense, including replacing the monument & curb when needed. As I do not know exactly how our propose to complete the lot, I can only give an approximate estimate & in fact the price is fixed by the Board of Trustees.

I should estimate the necessary sum to keep monument curb, sod, plants &c in complete order at about $800 or $850. (You can deposit any sum "in trust" with the corporation & they will expense income)

Yours respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt

Moses A. Dow Esq

Dear Sir

I have your favor of the 7th. Our price for "perpetual care" with a Guarantee is finally fixed by the Trustees tho I can give you an idea of cost.

The sums must yield interest enough to cover the average annual expense of keeping the lot in repair, and also allow a sufficient accumulation to replate the monument or curb when they need it.

If you intent to curb, the sum necessary would I think be $800 or $850, & when the lot is completed, if you wish I will submit a sketch of the lot to the Trustees who will fix the price exactly.

Whenever you curb is ready, I shall be glad to complete the lot for you at a reasonable price.

Yours truly JW Lovering Supt
