Com. on Statuary_

Voted that the President and Mr Gould be a Committee on Statuary
Comee to obtain Amendt of Charter.

Voted that the Committee appointed at the last meeting (Messrs Curtis, Nazro and Sleeper,) to apply to the Legislature for such Amendment of the Charter as will allow of the conveyance of lots to heirs at law, &c be hereby reappointed.
Comee to consider expedy of building Tombs
Upon motion by Mr Cheever, Voted that the Committee on Grounds be instructed to examine and report as to the expediency of building one or more tombs for sale by the Corporation

Stable at Superintendts House _
Upon motion by Mr Curtis,
Voted that the question of the expediency of building a suitable stable in connection with the Superintendent's house be referred to the Committee on Grounds, to report upon at the next meeting.
Tombs to be built by Corpn for sale.
The President made the following report for the Committee upon Grounds in favor of building tombs: _
"That the Superintendent be authorized to construct for sale two tombs in the manner proposed by him in his late communication to the Trustees, the cost not to exceed twelve hundred and fifty ($1250) dollars."
Upon motion by Mr Nazro, the same was adopted.

A communication was received from Mr Mann, the Superintendent, making inquiries about the custody &c of the tomb under Park Street Church belonging to this Corporation.
Upon motion by Mr Curtis, the same was referred to the Committee on Regulations and Records of Interment.
Forest Pond, improvement of, refd to Comee on Grounds.
It was also Voted, that the subject of improving Forest Pond with edge stones and otherwise be referred to the Committee on Grounds, to report thereon.
The meeting was then adjourned

Stable at Sup.ts house _ negatived _
The Committee on Grounds reported through the Chairman upon the subject referred to them at the last meeting, in reference to erecting a stable in connection with the Superintendent's house, recommending the erection of the same at a cost not exceding five hundred and fifty ($550) dollars.

The regular monthly meeting of the Trustees of Mount Auburn Cemetery was held at the usual place, on
There were present the President, Messrs Andrews, Cheever, Curtis, Gould, Nazro and Read.
The record of the last meeting was read.
Report upon petitn of J. Wyeth _ No action necessary.
The President, for the Committee upon Grounds, reported that the Committee had had an interview with Mr Wyeth in reference to the alleged obstructon in the drain, and that no further action is necessary.
The Report was accepted.
Rhododendrons purchased, and to be set_
The President also for the Committee authorized to procure trees and shrubs for the Cemetery, reported that the Committee had sent to Liverpool for flowering shrubs _ the Rhododendron _ to the amount of about 20£, or $100. _ that they had arrived & would be set out immediately.
The report was accepted.
Stable in connection with Supt's house to be erected _
The President for the Committee upon Grounds recommended the erection of a stable on the lot which contains the Superintendent's house at an expense not exceeding five hundred and fifty dollars ($550), and the order was adopted.

A general statement having been made by the President with reference to the Policies of Insurance on property in the use and occupation of the corporation and on property which it holds as mortgagee, it was
Voted, – that the President be authorized to procure insurance on the Superintendent's house and stable to the amount of $6000. – in place of $4800, – now held in the Mechanic's Mutual Insurance Company.
Voted, – that the Treasurer be directed to notify the mortgagors of real estate held by the Corporation to furnish other insurance in lieu of policies now held in the Mechanics Mut. Ins. Company: and that in case of non=compliance on the part of a mortgagor with the provision of the above order, the President is hereby authorized to procure such insurance at the expense of said mortgagor.
Monthly Schedule of Bills referred to President.
A file of bills, with accompanying schedule, having been submitted to the Board by the Treasurer, in compliance with the requirements of the By=Laws, and the schedule having been read by the President, it was
Voted, – that said bills be referred to the President for his approval, and payment by the Treasurer, if found correct.
