Dear Edward:

"Gee, We're having lovely weather," it has been raining steadily since Sunday morning. Of course we had to go to church anyway but on the way home we saw our Flying A friend so it didn't matter.

Saturday we had had another tennis tournament. You know at the one we had last year, I had such a swell partner that we won, but this time I had an awful prune for a partner and we were put out first thing.

We had a swell lunch over at Kaim's though, and I certainly eat. Then instead of waiting for the finals, Ruth Black and I left and went riding. Yes you bet I do still go riding, and the horse is still alive and kicking – Bucking too. You should have seen the one I had Saturday buck. We rode out to the Speedway, which is a stretch of rode [road] about three quarters of a mile long, where people on horseback and driving go to speed,
