48 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Jul 23 1886 Be it remembered that on this 23rd day of July 1886 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. The following officers are present viz: Mayor H L Yesler and Councilmen R H Calligan, J Furth, W A Harrington, G W Hall and [G W Young]]. The following proceedings were had to wit: Petitions received From F X Prefountaine et al for a fire plug South East Corner of Block 17 in Maynard's Plat. Granted From H H & L F Dearborn for permission to move wooden building from Corner of Jackson & Commercial sts to alley in rear of lot to make room for a brick building.
