Dear Sir,

Please report Saturday on lot of Jesse Holbrook no [2697] Central Av. - almost opposite the Bowditch statue. He says his angel cost only [$10?] at auction, but the marble men would make it for less than $1000 perhaps more.

Will you let Fred. look [after?] these points for me.

See if there is any headstone or [mor?] lot of Jos. H. Thayer, 221 Willow Av. gives date & place of ^^his death, if so what is [?]

Look at precisely same questions on Lot 503 Willow Ave. -- Thomas [Haven]

The same question too on lot 798 Elm Av -- Shepherd H. Norris?

All these were proprietors, and said to have died, but the records do [not?] show their death.

Dear Sir,

I believe you have not yet paid the $300 bequeathed to our Corporation by the late Harriet N. Whitney for the repair of the lot belonging to her & yourself -- no 2144.

The Corporation is ready to receive said sum and apply it to the purpose indicated.

Dear Sir,

The subject of your request has been laid before the Committee of the Trustees upon whom the matter devolves, after the proper report, and they have directed me to notify you that the Corporation will guarantee the perpetual repair of your lot with its appurtenances for the sum of seven hundred dollars: -- which sum I think you will perceive is not exorbitent.

Upon being notified of your acceptance of these terms, I will prepare the proper papers.

Feb.y 7, 1870. [Proprietors' Annual Meeting]

as is comprised in the following words,

"He shall not receive from any proprietor, or contractor for work or materials, any commission, or fees, or any compensation for any services rendered by him," -

is hereby approved; and nothing contained in Article 3^d of the By-Laws shall be so construed as to conflict with or set aside so much of said amendment of the By-laws as is hereby adopted and approved.

Committee of five chosen to consider subject of Amend^t to Art. 7 of By-Laws and report at adjourned meeting _

Pending the consideration of the aforesaid order,

Mr John R. Poor moved

That a Committee of five be appointed to take the subject of the Amendment to By-Laws Article 7 into consideration and report thereon at a meeting to which this meeting shall be adjourned. _

The motion for commitment being first in order, was put and adopted. _

Upon motion by Mr Jesse Holbrook, it was

Voted that the Committee be chosen by nomination at large;

Under which,

Choice of Trustees postponed to Adjourned Meeting _ On motion by Mr Alfred T. Turner, it was

Voted that the election of Trustees be postponed to the meeting to which this shall be adjourned

Meeting to be notified in same manner as Annual Meeting _

Further, upon motion by Mr A. T. Turner, it was

Voted that this meeting stand, adjourned to this day four weeks, at half past three o'clock p.m., and that the Secretary be instructed to notify the meeting in the manner prescribed in the charter for the Annual Meeting.
