{December} 31, Hurd, aged 12 years, had Symptoms of Small Pox fever, was ordered to keep abroad continually, use cold drinks & Daily purged with Sal. Cath. & Tart: Emet had eruption {January} 2d, distinct & good, Symptoms gone off

1776 {January} 7 Hurd, very comfortable Pocks fully ma turated & beginning to turn on face, has continued the Cool Regimen & exposure to Air &c from the first com plaining - Bowells occasionally moved by Sal. Cath. &c
Miss Sloper, Eruption completed, has Pustules thick all over, but distinct inflamed Bases & fill well - Rather continue Salts & man = salts & man. -

three Women, between the Age of 25 & 55, had small Pox, each of them very full of pustules, extremely Poor & exposed very much to severe weather by want of fuel & Cloaths - the youngest, a Girl of the Town, & I believe in 4th month of Pregnancy & infested with Lice besides - all Bowell kept lax & cool Regimen
{February} 14, Mrs Howard died, each Pock found became indent ed in Middle & changed to purple & livid colour -
2 Children attacked with small Pox, between Age of 3 & 6 years - cool Regimen & Cath: Mist. pro re nata
