Albemarle County in } the province of Carolina }

By the Honourable Governor and Lords proprietors Deputies with the Rest of the Honourble Councell of State, To all persons greeting In our Lord god Everlasting Whereas it suffitiently appeares unto us, that Henry White of this County deceased Left noe will, & not any one as yet have Lawfully administred on the Estate of the said Deceased, wee finding, and it soe ap= pearing to us, that Anthony Waters of this County beeing therein Nearest Concerned, and for the better Regard wee have In Such weighty Affaires, that noe Imbezellments of the Estates of deceased persons may bee made, by those who are uninterested therein, have, and accordingly doe, grant unto the Aforesaid Anthony Waters order for Administration on all and every the sd deceaseds Estates and if the sd Anthony Waters Shall Refuse to accept of our Commissions of Administration, then it is ordered by the authority Aforesd that Capt James Blount Esqr. and Capt John varnham Esqr. Shall or may Assigne our sd Commission to whom they Shall Soe meet, wee doe therefore, In observance of the aforesd order of Court, hereby Impower the sd Anthony waters, to administer on all and Every the Estates both reall and personall of the sd Henry White Senior, deceased, and out of the Same to Sattisfie and pay all his Just debts, soe far forth as the Said Estate will Extend or amount unto, and a true and Just Inventory of all and Every the sd Estate which did may or shall Come to his hands possession or Knowledge Appraised according to law after Sworne, by such persons as shall bee appointed by Capt Blount and Capt varnham Esqr aforesd, and the Said apprisement to be Returned to the next Courtt of the Grand Councell held for this County, and thereof, and of every part and persell thereof, to bee accomptable at any time when legally there to required, hee giving In Suffitient Securyty by [ space ] and himselfe For his Soe doeing given under our hands and the Seale of the County this day of [space] Anno Dom 1689

Know all men by these presents that wee [ space ] of the County of Albemarle In the province of Carrolina doe owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Ex= =cellencey the pallatine and the Rest of the true and Absolute Lords proprietors of the province Aforesd there heirs and Successors In the full and Just Sum and Quantetie of twenty thousand pounds of Currant Merchantable Leafe Tobacco, and Cask to Contane the Same ^(to be well and truly paid ) Convenient In the County Aforesaid, on forfeiture of the Condition Hereunto annexed, to the which payment well and truly to bee made and done wee binde us, and Every of us, Jointly and Severally, our and Every of our heirs Exceccutors and administrators for the whole and In the whole firmly by these presents, In witnes whereof wee have here unto Sett out hands and Seales this [ space ] day of [ space] Anno Dom 1680

The Condition of this obligation Is Such that whereas the Above bounden [ space ] haveing Received Letters of administration, upon the Estate of Henry White Senior, of this County deceased, doe and Shall well and truely performe, what therein hee is Injoyned, according to the tenor of the sd Commis= =sion, and Shall Save and keep the Courtt harmles and undempnified from all and Every person and persons that may or Shall Lay Clame too, or pretend Interest In, the sd Estate of the sd [crossed out] Henry White Deceased, duely Executeing and truly performing the office of ann administrator to all Intents and purposes, as therein the Law Requires, and to him the sd [space] is Granted that then this present obligation to bee voide and of none Effect or Else to Stand And bee In full force power Effect and vertue Signed Sealled and Delivered In the presence of us

Albemarle County In the} province of Carrolina } By the Honourable Governor and Lords proprietors Deputies, with the Rest of the Honourable Councell of State; To all persons Greeting In our Lord god Everlasting Whereas it Suffitiently appeares unto us, that Hugh Smithick of this County deceased Left A will, and in the Same Appointed Exceccutor to See his Said will fulfilled, and the sd will haveing by some means or other Miscarried Soe that ^( Probutt of) the Same Cannot bee made, only by the testimonies who subscribed the said Will, and Edward Smithick the Sonne of the said Hugh Smithick deceased, one of the Exceccutors nomi =nated In the aforesaid Will, as by the sd Testimonies appeares, Came before us at a grand Councell held the 25th day of March 1680, desireing order for administration on all and Every the sd deceas eds Estate, and In Expectation the sd Will might appeare It was ordered by the Authoryty Aforesd that Probatt of the Same might bee made if found, before their Lordships Justices of the peace at Shaftsbury Precinct Court, and if noe will did there appeare, that then they, the sd Justices, and Court, Aforesd, to to grant order for administration to whom they Should Soe meet. and the aforesaid Edward Smithick appear ing before the sd Justices of Shaftsbury precinct at a Court held the first day of Aprill Last past, obtained order for administration of all and Every the sd deceaseds Estates, wee doe therefore In observance of the aforesaid order of Court, hereby Impower the sd Edward Smithick, to administer on all and Every the estate both Reall and personall of the sd Hugh Smithick Deceased, and out of the same to Sattisfie and pay all his Just Debts, soe far forth as the Said Estate will Extend or amount unto and a true and Just Inventory of all and Every of the sd Estate which did may or Shall Come to his hands possession or Knowledge, apprised according to law, by [space ] [space] after Sworne, and the Said appraisment, to bee Returned Into the secrataries before the next Court of the Grand Councell held for the County Aforesaid, and thereof, and of Every part and parsell thereof, to bee accomptable at any time when Legally thereto Required, heer Giving In suffitient Security by [ space ] and himselfe for his Soe doeing, Given under our hands and the Seale of the County this [space] day of [ space] Anno: Dom 1680

Albemarle County in the Province of Carolina } By the Honorable Governor and Lords proprietors Deputies with The Rest of the Honorable Councell of State; to all persons Greeting in our Lord god Everlasting Whereas it suffitiently appeares unto us that arthur Hooper of this County decea =sed Left noe will and willliam Johnson of Shaftsbury precinct In the County Aforesd appearing before there Lord Shipps Justices of the peace att the said Shaftsbury precinct Court Craved order for administration of all and Sin= =gular the goods Chattles and Creditts of the aforesd Arthur Hooper Deceased, as haveing been married to the Rellictt of the Said Hooper which was accordingly Granted wee doe therefore In observance of the aforesaid order of Court hereby Impower the said William Johnson to administor on all and Every the Estate both Reall and personall of the sd Arthur Hooper deceased and outt of the Same to Sattisfie and pay all His Just Debts Soe far forth as the Said Estate will Extend or amount unto; and A True and Just inventory, of all and Every the sd Estate which did may or Shall Come to his hands possessi =on or Knowledge appraised according to Law by [ space ] after Sworne and the Said appraisment to bee Returned to the next Court held for the precinct Aforesaid, and thereof and of Every part and percell thereof to bee accomptable at any time, when Legally thereto Required hee giving in Suffitient Security by [ space ] and himselfe for his Soe doing Given under our hands and the Seale of the County this 7th day of June 1680 John Jenkins Richard Foster Jno Willoughby Anthony Slocum Robt Holden
