In explanation of the sketch of
the weir and dam it will be noticed
that the weir is about 300 feet wide
with a long hedge screening it for general
travel about 200 yards above the Bridge
[?] [?] is built wholly across
the weir and about 5 feet high. To the
right of the dam a race-way is built
which carries water to the [?] and
[?] Mill below the Bridge the
water after passing through the mill
runs in a small tail-[?] some
200 feet or more into the [?].
Whilst the height of the main dam is
about five feet the fall of the water
at the mill is about two feet or three
the height for fish to [?] as would
to the case at the main [?] above.
