Boston {January} 12th 1763

{Gentlemen}

You have Inclos'd an {Account} against {Captain}
Hugh Debb[?]ge, an Engineer, who lately sail'd from New York
for England, & may be met with at the Towen, & have now
to desire that you will add the Interest to the Time its paid,
and use your Endeavour to Recover it. The Inclos'd letter
please to deliver him; he must pay the Interest & Damages
as it has been so long Due, had he paid it here on the first
notice the Damages should have been abated. We Rely on
your Endeavours to obtain it, of which shall be glad to hear,
& when {Received} pass to our Cr.

Inclos'd you have invoice & bill of
lading of three hogsheads of best pott ashes shipt on board
the Hannah Robard Jarvis [?] to your address, which desire
you will dispose of to the best advantage, & creit our acco'tt
for the same. You have also inclos'd a certificate from the
Custom House of it's being plantation manufacture. The
severity of the season presents travelling or should have sent
a much larger quantity by this oppor'y.

Have none of your favr. to reply
to. Capt Learr is arriv'd at the Vinyard. OParted with the other
vessels three weeks ago, that we may soon expect them.

3d Octo'r & 4th Octo'r to 31st Octo'r 1762 authenticated, which
hope will come safe to your hands.

I shall write you soon. This ship
just upon sailing obliges me to conclude. I am,
