12 Thursday At Stenhouse Bay. Picking up gui out of wreck. 13 Friday At Stenhouse Bay. Took some Gui & clothes on Kopoola steaming for Port Adelaide. Put dingy & all Gui up on rock at Stenhouse Bay for safety. 6 pm Left Port Adelaide in steamer & Earny & Len paid meals 4/6. 19 days wages to Glen at 6/8 per day. 14 Saturday 5 am arrived in Kopoola at Port Adelaide from Stenhouse Bay. Paid Glen up. Cheque 4-10-8. 15 Sunday Raining all day. Blowing hard. NW Bar 29-90.

16 Monday Croydon. 5.30 went to steamer to go on skip no steam ready returned. Fine light west to SSW. Bar 30-25. Sent cheque to R. Burden £5-9-6 for stores. 17 Tuesday JS finish up on Croydon.

26 Thursday JS saw Mr. Bise Commissioner Public Works about White Port Lincoln. 27 Friday JS to town to see WR Cane. 28 Saturday JS saw RM Hawker in town.

30 Monday 6 am took charge SS Croydon & towed through bridge with Launch advance to tug comp slip. Day Labour. E Sheridan engaged cleaning up engings. Leonard Sheridan at work assisting clean up Croydon & at engings & two [illegible text] hands employed at boiler & sundry jobs. Arrange with MC Frailen for the slip. 1 October Tuesday JS to town to see Mr Cane & the Minister Mr Bise. 4 hands cleaning up Croydon engings & boiler. Awaiting to go on the slip. 2 Wednesday Earny away ½ day. 4 hands cleaning up Croydon & sundry jobs. JS to town to see Mr Sanford & Mr Bise. Awaiting to go on the slip.

Glen finish up work on Croydon & JS to. 15 Tuesday Croydon on the slip for survey. 16 Wednesday On the slip for survey. JS to see Cane & Comp. JS put saddle & skin at Parliament House on front top for examination same seal skin. Sam Elders & sundry people. Cheque ten £ pounds. Got 10 wool packs from Elder Smith & 1 [illegible text].

Got cheque 2 £ pound Mr [illegible text] 10 shillings fire wood 8 shillings stamp & shilling for [illegible text]. 18 Friday JS looking after Croydon. 19 Saturday AG G—t 3 pounds per week. JS looking after Croydon. 5.30 pm came over to slip. JS appointed Master & shifted to Tug Comp yard. Bought by Mr McGreggor of Tasmania. Hard gale wind. 20 Sunday Visited Croydon.

21 Monday SS Croydon Fletcher started work at 7.30 am. 2 hands working at steam chest. 22 Tuesday 2 hands working at Croydon. Stan Sheridan & Leonard started at 1/ eleven shilling per day. Fresh north gale. Bar 30-10. Weight of boiler about 8 tons. Croydon. Hard gale NW. 23 Wednesday 9.30 am Smith launch towed Croydon to Adelaide Comp Wharf & took out boiler & towed same back tug comp wharf by Launch Florrie. 4 hands working at Croydon all day. Wind west hard gale. Bar 30-10. Put boiler on the wharf Adelaide Comp & left two hands chipping same.
