Nov. 7, 7:10 meeting called to order. Minutes read. Stunt for the big game social. Mr. Taam Wu and T. K. Chuan chosen to take charge of the matter.

Mr. H. C. Wong announced that the members should take more care with newspapers and cards. Save lights and keep order.

Mr. Taam made it clear that we practised university songs for the big game occasion. Everybody should come to club at 6 every evening to practise. Records and a song book are suggested for the club to buy.

To finish the radio job, Mr. Chang suggests that the new members would please contribute for th a B Battery

Mr. Shen brought before the meeting the question whether the club as a unit should join the intermural basket ball tournament or not. Mr. Taam contend that it was only a question of practice. Mr. Huang then suggested that the club should find out how many members are willing to play. Hands were shown which failed to count up [to?] ten persons. The motion was passed that we should join the tournament. Mr. Ping moved that the club should nominate a captain and a manager for the basket Ball team. Mr. Hsieh and Mr. Kwaan were elected as Captain and Manager respectively.

Mr. Tsui moved that the club should subscribe Sung Pao. The motion was amended that the club should subscribe Sung Pao for a quarter for trial. It was put into vote. Pros 8 & cons 7. Division was called. The motion was carried.

The meeting was adjourned at half past 8 --

REGULATIONS

CHINESE STUDENTS' CLUBHOUSE STANDFORD UNIVERSITY

The Regulations are drawn up by the majority vote of the members residing in the Clubhouse Winter Quarter, 1951-52.

ARTICLE I -- NAME AND LOCATION OF RESIDENCE CHINESE STUDENTS" CLUBHOUSE 528 Salvatierra St. Stanford University, Caifornia

ARTICLE II -- PURPOSE A. " To foster International Fellowship" Phi Epsilon Phi

B. "To remain as a residence primarily for Chinese, but with all other students invited to mix and integrate in fostering international fellowship"

ARTICLE III -- RESIDENTS

A. Qualifications -- Applicant for residence should be of persons who will contribute towards the benefits of the Clubhouse and its members. -- All Standofrd students can apply to live in the Clubhouse, but the majority should be Chinese at any time. -- Maximum number of Non-Chinese is four, but empty space can be silled by any Stanford Student, if any. -- Applicant should hold an ASSU Student Body Card, and if without such a card he can live in the Clubhouse one quarter only.

B. Time -- Student can stay in the Clubhouse as long as he holds an ASSU Student Body Card. -- Autumn, Winter and Spring Quarters constitute an academic year. Summer residence is considered temporary.

C. Room Choice -- Seniority of quarters in the Clubhouse will decide the choice of rooms

D. University Obligations -- For their contributions in the past to the Clubhouse, permanent quarters in the Clubhouse are given to Mr. Chung-Kwei Chang and Mr. Street Chang.

Article IV -- Relationship to the Stanford Chinese Students' Club A. The Clubhouse will operate as a separate unit from the Students' Club, but the activities of both organizations shall be coordinated. B. Meetings and parties must be scheduled beforehand with the Clubhouse Manager. Parties are strictly limited tot he weekends; while business meetings on weekdays are limited to 12 o'clock midnight.

Article V -- Election and Duties of Officers A. Officers shall be elected by the majority vote in the first Clubhouse meeting every --Autumn-- Quarter, shall hold office for on --academic year.-B. Officers and their duties (1) House Manager - Maintenance and upkeep of the residence - Coordination of all activities including A & S activities 4 to 2 - Representation to the University and the Chinese Alumni Association (2) Treasurer - Charge of income and expenditure of the Clubhouse - Presentation of financial status quarterly - Assistance to Manager in performing his duties (3) Athletic Manager ([inducted??] by the majority) - Coordination of all athletic activities C. Temporary Summer Quarter officers shall be nominated by the House Manager in case of absence. C. --D.-- The Clubhouse, by at least 2/3 of the members, can elect new officers at any time in case of --absence or-- unsatisfactory performance. D. --E.-- Compensation to the House Manager and Treasurer shall be $30 each per quarter.

Article VI -- House Rents A. Time of Payment - Deadline shall be the middle of each quarter. The date shall be set by the Treasurer. B. Tardy Payment - A $2 fine per-week-tardy, but allowance can be made by the Manager and Treasurer.

E. Compensation be divided between new and old in [pr?port?] to time.

B. Time Limit on Duties 12 noon Thu - 5 P.M. Saturdays 12 pm Sunday - 12 Noon Saturdays, Autum Quarter only

C. Tardy Duties - A fine of $ 2 (1.00) must be payable to the Treasurer before 5 P.M. Tuesday. two weeks after the day the duties is schdule

- $ 1 of the fine will go to the Clubhouse Treasury, while the other $1 will be paid to another person performing this late duty which must be done before 5 P.M. Wednesday.

- But the original delinquent wishes to do the duty, he must complete the duty and pay $ 1 to the Treasurer before 5 P.M. Tuesday. [sucxxxsive] - Two offenses - Late Duties - will necessitate a general house meting to oust the delinguent.

Article VIII -- OTHER REGULATIONS A. Ping-Pong Hours - 12 Noon to 1 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. B. Kitchen Maintenance - All facilities should be cleaned by persons who use the kitchen. Penalties are subjct to Article VII , a fine of Section for the first three times and $[14 00] violations beyond C. Kitchen fee *** AMENDMENT *** D Kitchen duty 10 member - perform NLT 12 pm every
