This morning I'm going to tan exercise buy clothes at Nordstroms wash 'em While tanning, I'll try to dream about HF + things in general. Then it's off to Vancouver.

I spent a typically awkward evening with Brad, but it did have its rewards. I found out more about Scott, nude pics of him, and got to play Artworx strip poker on his Atari. Then we had an awkward time at Neighbours, Buddies, and John Barleys. But I slept till 11:00 on Sunday, which was nice.

Sunday, Oct 2

Brunch at O'douls. Played with Atari Graphics, Budge's Pinball, PAINT, Blue Max. Go shopping for Brad's printer, and find a good software store

Got Everyman's DB Primer, etc.

Drove home, not too much achieved.

Out to Neighbour's. Round 1 with the Rita's, then home, then Round 2 with Randy Sullivan, at Neighbors.

Monday + Tuesday, Oct 3 + 4

Started day with breakfast with Bob. Then read a lot more about DB: Everyman's Primer More on Infostar Read entire PC. See my biweekly for what it meant. And finally finished with reading Time Mar Tuesday night. It is just a task involving a list. Miscellaneous stuff new IBM Sort problems Case sensitivity in ISAM Atari BASIC bug - DEF Redef'n (Looking through Atari file, I see they will introduce MS-DOS system, and have Alan Alda do Multiplan ads. Also IBM BASIC isn't ANSI standard!) Requisition some products Buy Dave Moore some Atari books for MP. Start to study PC graphics More on Commodore Graphics too for comparison. I make the write decision not to do Commo BASIC! Go to Kuharic for itchy skin + black + blue toenail. Try to get color TV for Graphics study. Send Radio Shack a SORTM disk. NOW JUST Graphics + 1-2-3...

8:00 BREAKFAST W/RITA I at ANDY'S 9:00 HOME + JERRY BALDASTY CALLS TO GIVE AWAY TICKETS TO ANGRY HOUSEWIVES. AT WORK I FINISHED MY GRAPHICS STUDY ON PC USING BOOK BY DICK CONKLIN. DECIDE TO USE ONLY BLOCK GRAPHICS CHARACTERS. ----THEN I CAME HOME TO USE MY APPLE AND PLAY WITH BILL BUDGE'S 3D STUFF. I WAS IMPRESSED! IT REALLY SET ME THINKING ABOUT DOING A 3D GRAPHICS EXTENSION TO 6502 BASIC. ----BUT HAVING DONE MDA THURSDAY NIGHT I WAS VERY TIRED AND JUST WATCHED WSW 8:30-9 AND (SWEDISH) EMIGRANT SAGA FROM 9-11 WHILE READING FRIDAY'S WSJ AND THE RECENT CREATING COMPUTING.

SATURDAY OCT 8, 1983

(BREAKFAST AT MAMA MOTZA'S) I WAS VERY CONCEPUTAL ALL MORNING. LOTS OF GOOD NOTES ON BILL BUDGE'S 6502 STUFF + ON PERSONAL FINANCE + ON REDISTRIBUTION OF SORT BY ISVS. (why not to do generalized report-writer). IN MID-AFTERNOON I WENT TO GYM AND TO DENNY'S FOR BIG LUNCH. CALLED JORGE, GOT PORNO AT VIDEOPHILE AND PLAYED VIDEO AT ARNOLDS. ----HOME AT 7:00 AND BOB SHOWS UP. WE GOT TO ROD ELBERTS TO BUY CRYSTAL METH. THEN DINNER AT QUEEN ANN BROCK'S + SEE ZELIG. THEN TO DAN + TOM FOR SCOTCH + FUN + OUT TO DANCE 12:00 - 3:00 HOME WITH BOB TO MY PLACE TO WATCH ROD MITCHELL ON TV. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SUNDAY (pretty, Fall day)

Brunch at 11:30 at Ritz with Bob. Drive through arboretum after pickup STAR WARS, and go to Microsoft to give Bob a tour and to TP's office. Walk in V. Park ----3:00 Get ready, go to parents go to Mother Tuckers. Nice Sunday dinner. 7:45-9:45 Home + watch Star Wars. (they fall asleep as usual). I had wanted to bring Bob, but this would've been embarassing!! 10 - 11 Watch "Making of Male Model" Go home + to bed

MONDAY, Oct 10

Lots of chores. Washing, cleaning, shopping (even groceries), the bank. After lunch at home (11), I got to work at 3:30 and started organizational stuff. Wrote memo on how to resell standalone Sort. Read Seidel's Cobol book. Home and have steak dinner. Dick calls. No NYC for me, I say. 7:30 - 9:00 Gym. Bob is there too. 9-12 Balance accounts 12 - 1 Copacabana w/ Carmen Miranda + Groucho (on tape) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tuesday, Oct 11

9-1 Get started writing reports (Finish look at Seidel's book. OK, but not inspirational) 1-1:30 Lunch at home 1:30 - 3 TAN + return videotape 3:30 - 11 Work. WRote up memo saying why not to do Data Entry/Report Writer language. Also decide to advise away from Sort hosted by other languages because of lack of syntax + memory mgt.
