Very cool & fine Walked into town in forenoon with Misses Lerman & Groeble, saw Capitol Bldg etc. Saw Miss Two & her mother in afternoon Professor Lindt lecture at night in Assembly Hall.

quite cold. Walked to p. office with Dorothy Rogers a.m. Called on Mrs Edwardes in the afternoon Girls came to my room in evening.

Cold day. Slept in forenoon. Studied French

Lessons began again with a vengeance. Students "sing-song" in assembly Hall at 7-30 to 8.30 p.m. Walked home with Mrs Reber - Miss Simmons' friend

French buttermilk & Tennyson in forenoon. French all the rest of the day. "Fierce!"

88°-66° Routine morning plus a Tennyson lecture at 5p.m. Coney Island in Assem. Hall at night. Gideon & Van Meerton afterwards took Miss Lerman & I to Keeley's.
Saturday 10
Poorly. Worked on French verbs & answered letters. Trammed into town & posted letters to mother. Very hot day.
Sunday 11
Afternoon & evening with Gideon Bosman & Elbert Van Meerton across lake & had dinner down town. Excruciatingly exhausted.

School again. Went to the song recital in the evening & after with Miss Lerman & Bosman & Van Meerton to buy fruit.

Worked hard at French & other things. Went to hear Felix Adler.
Wednesday 14
Worked hard at French. In the evening Van Meerton took us to eat a watermelon on the bank of the lake in front of Y.M.C.A.
