Miss Everett gave me a lesson in afternoon. My throat was [sprawley?]. I was discouraged.

Sunday 15

85° 72° Walked to the p.o. for the mail with Miss Carpenter. Received the last of the proofs of Some E-day F. & Dawn.

Monday 16

84° 70° Corrected the proofs.

Tues. Aug. 17, 1909

Looked over the extra Am. proof. After supper walked on the hill with Misses Bonfoey & Carpenter.

Wednesday 18

Walked to p.o. in morning to despatch proofs. Miss Carpenter accompanied me. After supper Miss Bonfoey took me to call on the Terry's.

Thursday 19

82° 69° Worked on "Summer Session" article in morning. Slept in afternoon. Went riding with Mr Henrichs after supper.

Fri. Aug 20, 1909

After supper went walking on hill & to sheep barns with Miss Purley. Miss V. Taylor interviewed me in the afternoon.

Saturday 21

Slept in afternoon After supper Miss Carpenter & I called on the Harpers.

Sunday 22

Called on Miss Taylor in morning. Got mail & came home. Then went & met Miss Henry.

86° 66° Lay about & talked with Miss Henry. Extremely exhausted.

Tuesday 24

81°70° In morning walked into town with Miss H. Had midget photos taken. Saw Miss Hunt in La Follete office. After supper went round lake with Mdlle H. iced at Keeleys after.

Wednesday 25

85° 72° Worked in morning Rested in afternoon and walked on hill after supper with Misses Henry & Miss Carpenter.

80° 71° Worked and rested. Walked on Hill after supper with Misses Carpenter & Henry.

Friday 27

Very poorly. Kept my room & read "A Certain Rich Man". V. Taylor interviewed Miss Henry after supper.

Saturday 28

Poorly. Rested all day. after supper walked in to town with Miss Bonfoey & got midget photos.
