MON. MARCH 27 1916 Went to W.'s Freedom L. 144 H. Holborn. Lunch with Mrs Despard Miss Smith & Miss Goodrich from Newf.land. From there to 7 Adam St. to Advisory committee meeting of B. W. Suff. Union. Mrs P. Lawrence in Chair. Home very tired. Miss Newcomb asked me to do London editors.

TUES. MARCH 28 1916 Wet day. At 3 met Mrs Ussher at N. U. W. Suff. S. 14 Great Smith St & went to hear Mrs Fawcett in Caxton Hall. Lady Cowdray in Chair. Worked a little & went to bed

WED. MARCH 29 1916 Went to N.U.W. Suff. at 11.30 back for lunch & to Caxton Hall at 3 to hear Geo. Lansbury & Mrs Mustard & went to Internatl. Suff. Club with A. A Smith to dinner & to hear Rebecca West on reviewing. Met Nina Boyle. Mrs Gallichan spoke.

THUR. MARCH 30 1916 re-copied Australian articles supposed to have gone down on Sussex. Went to Nine Elms to see Despard Settlement & had lunch with staff. Slept in afternoon tired. Too bed in decent time.

FRI. MARCH 31 1916 Lyceum Club for tea with Miss Goodrich from Newfoundland We then went to Miss A.A. Smith for high tea & in a party went to see Ben Greet as Sir Peter in "School for Scandal" at Old Vic. Home at 10 to 12 on top of 'bus. Fine day

SAT. APRIL 1 1916 Worked in morning. At 3 met Miss C. at 17 Gough Sq. & went on peripatetic lecture thru Law Cts. Dinner at Comedy Restaurant then to see Ainley in "Who is He" Home at 11.45 Lovely day.

SUN. APRIL 2 1916 Glorious day. Rode to & from A.A. Smith's on top of bus to dinner to meet Mrs Montefiore. Mdme. Jallay also there. Home at four. 30. Nell came in the evening. I got nothing done

MON. APRIL 3 1916 Feeling very exhausted. Did not go out excepting to shop. A glorious sunny day. Heard from Claude again. Wrote to Fred at night.

TUES. APRIL 4 1916 Went to bank & thence to lunch with Mrs U. Miss Quinlan & Miss Newcomb at Express D. Thence to Military office to get pass to see Claude & to Anzac buffet & A. & Navy stores & home most exhausted. Lovely day some clouds but no rain.

WED. APRIL 5 1916 Went to Caxton Hall meeting & heard Mrs French from Calif. With her & Miss Smith to Int. Suff. C. for tea. Then with Miss Smith to Despard Arms & had dinner there - got home cold, exhausted & depressed. One spat (spot?) of rain during day.
