Riverdale Ind. Sept. 8th 1916

Hon. William Spry, Gov. Utah

We the undersigned, very earnestly ask that you pardon Joe Hill, who is under sentence to be shot in the month of October. We feel the evidence upon which Mr Hill was convicted is of the weakest, and purely circumstantial. He was undoubtedly denied his constitutional rights when tried for his life.

Trusting to your fairness in this matter we respectfully submit this please for an innocent man.

DearSire

Stop and think before you take Joe Hills life, give him a chance, how many men have been executed that later the murderer came and they were not guilty.
