but let me know if you get the post card photos I had taken over here. I have not received your package yet but I guess it will soon be here.

I received several letters from different parties. I had one from mother, two from Otto, one from the Drapers of Sausalito, one from Henry Papenfuss, one from the Ringholms and one from a feelow from the parlor. Otto wrote me and said that Bill Larsen enlisted two weeks after he was married. I guess Louise is very much up set about it but it seems like all the young fellows are either in the army or navy by this time.

The weather is pretty warm here now and we get lots of exercise. Some days my legs and arms are pretty sore when the day is over. My muscles are pretty sore in the mornings when I get up and some times I can hardly move, but other wise I am feeling fine. I will send you that flower as soon as I can get a hold of one. You may think I am a long time in sending it but I have had no opportunity to get any. I received a picture of Walter and Charlie in the last letter from him and it looks good of them both.

I wish I was going there with him. I wrote to Martha but have not received any answer from her so far. Give the folks all my best regards and they are enjoying the best of health and happiness. Louis Crawford is in the army and stationed at Fremont and he is acting coporal like my big brother. Have you heard any thing of the newly-weds? Do you know if Bill Larsen joined the army or navy?

Well darling I have no more news. By the way what do you mean by my french affinity? The party sent my ma the cards is not even personally acquainted with me and the reason they were was to my ma

chance of me getting home for a time.

We have had a long hike and have now established our lines. It will be a long old hike back. I would not mind it if we were bound for home.

We are having real Xmas weather Lots of snow and ice. Every thing is covered in a sheet of white. The kids are having a lot of fun skating and sleigh riding. Every once in a while we have a snow ball battle.

I received a letter and some pictures of the old times from Bill Larsen. He says there is nothing like married life. He is giving me some good advice about getting married says it is the only life.

My cousin Sorine wrote and told me about the addition to the family a baby boy. She likes Long Beach very much and says it is a fine country. This is her address Mrs. H.M. Morck, 946 E. 3rd St. Long Beach. Tell Joe to pay her a
