I Do herby Certify that Benj Bradford Sheriff of Jefferson County hath performed the duties required of him by law holding the election for president & Vice president of the united states and in returning the Votes for said election in his county and he is allowed the sum of Eight dollars & seventy five Cents for four days attending on the elections & traveling twenty five miles Given under my hand and seal this 5^th day of Nov^m 1804

I certify that William Curl Sheriff of Stewart county, before me John Anderson a Justice of peace for the county of Davidson, has proved that he attended one day at Nashville in the s^d county of Davidson (being the place appointed by law) in comparing the votes for our election of president and vice president of the united states, and that he has traveled one hundred and fifty miles in going to and from the place appointed [for?] comparing the s^d Votes, for which he is entitled to receive the sum of twelve Dollars twenty five cents agreeable to an act of the general assembly passed November third 1803, Given under my hand November 5^th 1804
