On looking at Mr Sherburne's lots 3021 & 3022 I find that there would be no difficulty in making a passage way between the lots, and a strip wide enough to make the 89 feet should, I think be taken from lot 3021, and an order given us by the owner to seat posts & cut the numbers (which has never been done)

To take down the remaining portion of the fence on the Line of the Watriss & Chant Lots & remove to line of Chant Lot & Catholic Cemetery will cost $9545 and the remaining distance to line of stockade fence can be completed for $650.90
This allows for some waste on the fence removed & is probably a liberal estimate.

Voted, – that the subject of the operatives employed by the Corporation and their rate of compensation be referred to the Com. on Grounds, with full powers.
Gen. Statement of Treasr referred to Finance Committee.
Voted, – that the Statement prepared by the Treasurer, above referred to, be referred to the Committee on Finance.
Chant lot. Notice given of vote authorizing purchase of.
Notice was received from Mr Turner of his intention to offer, at the next meeting of the Board, the following vote; viz; –
"Voted, – that the Committee on Grounds be authorized "to purchase the "Chant " lot of land adjoining the Cemetery, "between the Watriss Lot, recently purchased, and the Roman "Catholic Cemetery."
Laid over under the Rules.
And the subject having been discussed by those present, action on the same was deferred under Article IX of the By=Laws.
Lot 2517. *Josiah Vose. Report in readiness. Consideration of postponed.
The Chairman of the Committee on Lots stated that the Committee were in readiness to report on the subject of the Lot of the late Josiah Vose; but suggesting, in view of the lateness of the hour, that the consideration of the same be deferred to the next meeting.
Voted, – that the said Report be laid on the table for consideration at the next meeting.
Voted, – that when this meeting adjourns it adjourn to meeteat this place on Wednesday, the , at Four P.M.

An adjourned monthly meeting of the Trustees was held on Wednesday, , at Four o'clock, P.M.
Present Messrs. J. T. Bradlee, N. J. Bradlee, Bigelow, Choate, Lawrence, Little, Pickering, Perkins and Snow.
The record of the last meeting was read and approved.
Chant Lot. Purchase of urged by Mr Turner in letter. & Com. on Grounds authorized to purchase
The President read a letter from Mr Turner, stating his inability to attend the meeting owing to illness, and urging the adoption of the vote in reference to the purchase of the Chant Lot of land, so called, notice of which was given by him at the last meeting.
After discussion, on motion of Mr Lawrence, it was ^unanimously
Voted, – that the Committee on Grounds be authorized to purchase the "Chant" lot of land, adjoining the Cemetery, between the Watriss Lot, recently purchased, and the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Lot 2517 *Josiah Vose. Com. on Lots report progress. Report Accd, Full powers granted.
A verbal Report was received from Mr Snow, chairman of the Committee on Lots, in regard to the Lot of the late Josiah Vose, No 2517, Lawn Avenue, the consideration of which was referred to them at the Meeting of the , stating the progress made by the Committee in the duty assigned them, and requesting that the subject be recommitted to them with full powers.
Voted, – that the Report of the Committee be accepted, and the subject recommitted to them with full powers as requested.
Tenure & division of Lots. Report of Com. on accepted –
A written Report was also submitted by the ^chairman of the same Committee in behalf of the Comittee consisting of the Committee on Lots and Mr Choate in respect to the tenure and the division of Lots. [For terms of said Report see p. 164, ante.]

A Monthly Meeting of the Trustees was held on Wednesday, at Four o'clock, P.M.
Present, Messrs. J. T. Bradlee, N. J. Bradlee, Lawrence, Perkins, Pickering, Snow and Turner.
In the absence of the Secretary, Mr H. B. Mackintosh was appointed Secretary pro tem.
The record of the last meeting was read and approved.
Paths between Garden, Yew, Ash & Fountain Avenues adopted as shown on the Plan of 1867.
The chairman of the Committee on Grounds reported that the Paths on land lying between Garden, Yew, Ash and Fountain Avenues, east of the Well House, although upon the lithographic Plan, have never been acted upon by the Trustees, and the Committee therefore recommend that said plan of laying out the portion of ground, as above described, be approved and adopted by the Board. On motion of Mr N. J. Bradlee it was
Voted, – that the plan was adopted.
Chant Lot; full possession obtained. Fencing of &c. [ordered.]
The chairman of the Committee on Grounds reported that the Corporation had come into full possession of "the Chant Lot," and that the Committee had obtained an estimate of the cost of removing the close board-fence between said Lot and the Watriss purchase, and putting up 277 feet of the same on the line of said Lot running to the fence of the Catholic Burial Ground, thereby bringing said Chant Lot within the general enclosure of Mt Auburn, and that said estimate amounted to $264.50. The Committee recommended that authority be given them
