To the Honorable the Mayor and City Council of the City of For Worth:

Fort Worth, Texas. March 6th. 1903.

Your petitioner, Samuel A.Tomlinson, respectfully represents that heretofore on the 3rd day of April, A.D.1902, he made to you an offer in writing to purchase those certain lots of land situated, lying and being in the City of Fort Worth, County of Tarrant in the State of Texas and known as Lots No's One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (4) and 10ft of 5 Five (5) in Block No. Four (4) of Jennings East or Avenue Addition to the said City of Fort Worth; and whereas by resolution said offer was accepted for the consideration and on the terms set out in the deed of conveyance conveying said lots of land to your petitioner, Sanuel A.Tomlinson, executed by the City of Fort Worth by J.T.Powell, Mayor, and Jno T. Montgomery, Secretary, of the said City of Fort Worth, bearing date on May 2nd, A.D.1902 and recorded in Volume 164 at page 538 of the Records of Deeds for Tarrant County, Texas; and whereas the consideration and terms of said acceptance were not clearly and fully set out in said resolution of acceptance.

Now, therefore, your petitioner prays that your honorable body now approve, ratify and confirm said sale and deed of conveyance in all things.

BE IT RESOLVED, That the City Attorney is hereby directed to prepare an amendment to the Charter of the City of Fort Worth by which it shall be provided that the board of equalization of the City of Fort Worth shall be elected by the City Council of said City.

Repsectfully submitted

Resolved further that said City Attorney be instructed to prepare an amendment to the city charter by which it shall be provided that the city shall have the same night to appeal from the assessments made by the assessor as the property owner now has
