Mary's Cole Slaw Dressing Stir up 1 egg. add about 2/3 c. sugar and 1/3 c vinegar, salt & pepper Mary uses this with bacon for wilted lettuce.

1/2 c cocoa - 1 c brown sugar - 1/2 c wat cook in double boiler until a little thick. Let cool.

Dandelion Dressing Dice bacon & fry. Beat 1 egg dd 1/4 c sugar, 1/4 c water, 1/4 c vinegar.
Smierkase t sour milk heated to lukewarm. in cheese cloth bag. Pour 1 qt warm water over. After it has drained, repeat wice. Tie bag & let drip until whey is all.

Buttermilk Biscuits 2 cups sifted flour 2 tsp Calumet baking powder 1/4 tsp. soda 3/4 tsp. salt 4 tbs shortening 2/3 c buttermilk or sour milk
Sift flour, measure and add baking powder, salt, soda. Sift again. Cut in shortening. Add milk. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 m
Pastry (Crisco method) 2 c sifted flour 1 tsp salt 2/3 c Crisco 1/4 c water 1 1/2 c flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 c Crisco 3 tbs water
Sift flour & salt into bowl. Take out 1/3 c flour - 1/4 c flour - mix with water to form a paste. Add Crisco to remaining flour. Cut until size of peas. Add paste. Mix thoroughly till dough forms a ball.

Soda Cheese (Aunt Lill's recipe) Salt 1 cup (paper cup it comes in) ottage cheese. Add 1 even tsp soda and mix until gets clear, Add a bit more soda if needed. Let set a bit. Brew set on a slow fire and stir. Put a small lump of butter in pan and melt. Put in cheese and stir. Add a small beaten egg and stir until [?] like cup cheese.
Pastry - 1 - 9 inch pie 1/2 c sifted flour teaspoon salt 3/4 c spry. 5 tbs cold water
Sift flour and salt together add 1/2 of spry. Cut in five. Add rest of spry & leave in [?] like navy bean. Add water 1 tb at a time
