Hamburger & Filling 350 degrees 1 to 1 1/2 hr Goose or Turkey 12 to 14 lb 350 degrees to 375 degrees - 5 hr

Round Steak or Pot Roast 2 lbs beef 1/2 envelope dry onion soup 1 can mushroom soup No Salt.

Sprinkle with onion soup. Spre with mushroom soup. cover Bake at 325 degrees two hours.

Mary's Cole Slaw Dressing Stir up 1 egg. add about 2/3 c. sugar and 1/3 c vinegar, salt & pepper Mary uses this with bacon for wilted lettuce.

Del's Double Fudge Cake

1/2 c cocoa - 1 c brown sugar - 1/2 c wat cook in double boiler until a little thick. Let cool.

2 eggs - 2 c flour - 1 c brown sugar 1/2 c shortening - 1c thick milk 1 tsp. baking powder - 1 tsp soda

Dandelion Dressing Dice bacon & fry. Beat 1 egg dd 1/4 c sugar, 1/4 c water, 1/4 c vinegar.

Smierkase t sour milk heated to lukewarm. in cheese cloth bag. Pour 1 qt warm water over. After it has drained, repeat wice. Tie bag & let drip until whey is all.

Janets Salad dressing egg beaten 2 eggs tbs sugar 6 tbs tbs vinegar 9 tbs ook, stirring constantly dd miracle whip. 1 pint Mary's Potato salad eat 1 egg 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 c sugar 1/6 c vinegar stard - tumeric - cook - cool. add sp tbs Miracle Whip & pickle relish

3 qt cucumbers 2 tbs salt Let set 1 1/2 hou Drain 2 cup sugar 2 cup vinegar 2 cup water 3 doz or more whole cloves cook until change color.

Piccalli (Mary Shiffer) 2 qts ripe tomatoes 2 qts green tomatoes 6 small onions 4 c vinegar 4 tsp mixed pickle spice 6 red peppers 6 green peppers 4 tsp. salt 2 lbs brown sugar Grind vegetable add salt. Let stand over night. Make a syrup of vinegar, sugar & spice in a bag Drain vegetables & add. Summer until thick, approx. 35 min. (2 1/2 quarts)

1 egg 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup vinegar 3/4 cup water salt & Pepper 2 tbs flour (Mrs Naurraw uses sour cream instead of water adds 1 tsp mustard 1 tsp celery seed.)

Ham Loaf lb ham 1/2 lbs beef c bread crumbs c milk eggs (3/4 lb ham 1 lb beef) Enough for 2 people Sauce - 1 c brown sugar 1/2 tsp dry mustard 1/2 c diluted vinegar ne - 350 degrees 1 1/2 hours

Eva's Sour Dressing for lettuce. good tsp flour 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt 3 tbs vinegar Beat and add good cup or cup & a quarter water

Fry 3 slices bacon and add dressing. Cole Slaw Dressing

cup cream tbs. sugar tbs vinegar salt cabbage. Let stand awhile & press out water.

Buttermilk Biscuits 2 cups sifted flour 2 tsp Calumet baking powder 1/4 tsp. soda 3/4 tsp. salt 4 tbs shortening 2/3 c buttermilk or sour milk

Sift flour, measure and add baking powder, salt, soda. Sift again. Cut in shortening. Add milk. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 m

Pastry (Crisco method) 2 c sifted flour 1 tsp salt 2/3 c Crisco 1/4 c water 1 1/2 c flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 c Crisco 3 tbs water

Sift flour & salt into bowl. Take out 1/3 c flour - 1/4 c flour - mix with water to form a paste. Add Crisco to remaining flour. Cut until size of peas. Add paste. Mix thoroughly till dough forms a ball.

Soda Cheese (Aunt Lill's recipe) Salt 1 cup (paper cup it comes in) ottage cheese. Add 1 even tsp soda and mix until gets clear, Add a bit more soda if needed. Let set a bit. Brew set on a slow fire and stir. Put a small lump of butter in pan and melt. Put in cheese and stir. Add a small beaten egg and stir until [?] like cup cheese.

Pastry - 1 - 9 inch pie 1/2 c sifted flour teaspoon salt 3/4 c spry. 5 tbs cold water

Sift flour and salt together add 1/2 of spry. Cut in five. Add rest of spry & leave in [?] like navy bean. Add water 1 tb at a time
