C.B. Prescott Esq

Dear Sir

To set lead and clamp the curbing around your new lot, of a pattern similar to that around the Blake & Francis lots will cost you $65.00.

Should you decide to buy the passage way and enclose it the price of setting will be the same.

C.B. Prescott Esq

Dear Sir

I can sell you the passage way at a reduced rate as ornamental ground, provided it is not enclosed with the lots. I can sell it as ornamental land in connection with the lots you have just bought (including the perpetual care for $225, or as ornamental land in connection with the Blake & Francis lots (1/2 to each lot) without perpetual care for $700, but this will hardly meet your need on account of the enclosing of the whole space.

I can set the land, one half as an addition to the Blake lot, and

the balance as an addition to the Francis lot without perpetual care for $225. In this way you can enclose it, and erect monument on it or bury in it. The practical effect is to make the Blake & Francis lots each a little larger.

Then should you ever place these lots under perpetual care as I hope you will at some time, the two new lots being provided for, the whole of the Blake & Francis lots can be provided for at that time.

H.B. Churchill Esq

Dear Sir

In reply to your letter of Sept 30th I would say that in May last the key of the tomb was placed in our hands for the purpose of making some repairs on the tomb according to the instructions of Miss H.N. Churchill and Mr F.C. Bacon acting for Mrs Peleg Churchill. After the work was finished the key was sent by Express to the Cemetery office in Boston according to the request made by (Mr Bacon I think) at the Cemetery.

The key was not called for until some considerable time had elapsed, after it was sent in & when the interment was ordered the message was sent out per telephone that the key was here, to which I replied that the key had been sent in to Boston according to instructions. The key was not found, & I was directed (by telephone) to open the tomb which I did by having the lock picked. The door was opened the day before the funeral & was kept shut as fast as possible without locking. After the funeral (two days I think) the key was brought out by Mr Bacon & the lock was at once

J.E. Robinson Esq

Dear Sir

It has been decided not to accept your proposition for sinking wells.

As you have been already at some Expense in sinking the test pipe now there, I should be disposed to buy it at a reasonable price & I will take it as it is if we can agree as to price.

J.N. Ballard Esq

Dear Sir

In looking up the enclosed bill, I find that only the usual charges have been made you, and as far as I can understand for just what was ordered, and at prices agreed on at the time. I enclose the copies of the orders given us. The myrtle I suppose you understand is not an annual, but will last for a number of years.

If this explanation is not satisfactory will you let me know what will be.

Dear Sir

Your iron fence will be worth $800, and four of the corner posts can be recut and placed at the corners and the number cut for that sum. I think the four would be better than more, and the fence would not bring enough to pay for cutting the additional posts. To cut them would cost $6.00.
