Dear Sir

I find a mistake has been made as to the quantity of land in lot 4575 which you selected, as it contains only one hundred and fifty feet and not two hundred as told you.

Of course you are not bound to take the lot if the smaller quantity will not answer the purpose & I hope the mistake will cause you no trouble.

Will you let me know as soon as convenient your decision.

Yours very truly J.W. Lovering

Saml H Russell Esq

Dear Sir

The items of bill on lot #730 are for grading

and sodding the lot $35.00
Cutting the number 3.00
2 additional posts set 8.00
[total] $46.00
The estimate of $5 for setting posts was made in answer to your letter of May 5 which states that the posts were to be furnished by you, and the present charge of $8 is for the posts and the setting according to the arrangement made with one foreman.

Hoping this explanation will be satisfactory. I am

Respectfully J.W. Lovering

E.M. Mayo. Esq

plants (one clover) 1.50
leaving a balance of $4.25 which will be paid you at my office on presentation of this note, or can be left to your credit against any other work you want on the lot.

Mrs Mary E. Stearns

Dear Madam

I have delayed replying to your note to Mr MacKintosh in order to make careful inquiry about the lot, and I can find no reason to think that either bulbs or myrtle have been removed from your lot.

A large number of tulips hyacinths & crocuses were planted on the ornamental grounds near the front gate last fall, which shared the fate of yours and I satisfied myself perfectly that they were destroyed by the squirrels.

As to the myrtle, all which is ordered, is raised at our greenhouses outside of the grounds, where we can get all the slips which we need. Early in the spring the myrtle is trimmed with shears to cut out the old wood but it soon fills up again and does all the better for the cutting. This may be what you refer to, but this is done solely for the good of the plants, and the cuttings are never used for slips. I regret that anything has happened about your lot to annoy you & will certainly do all I can to prevent any further annoyance.

Yours respectfully J. W. Lovering

Mrs Edw'd P. Adams

Dear Madam

Your favor of the 3rd inst is required with draft on Tremont Nat.l Bank -- for $18.00 which pays the Receiving Tomb fees until . Should you not wish the catacomb so long, the balance will be refunded.

The price of the lot which you selected is $775 and not $850. The price having been revised after you looked at the lot but before you finally selected. Providing you can pay for the lot by , I will agree to keep it. After that time I cannot promise that particular lot.

Yours very truly J.W. Lovering

W.F. Almy Esq

Dear Sir

The proceeds from the sale of fence on your lot was $27.07 less the cost of removing the same,

sodding up post holes & cutting number 10.00
leaving to your credit in July $17.07
several foundations built $13.25
so that there is now to your credit $3.82
which I will settle in cash, or leave to be applied to the bill for care of the lot which will come in November.

Mrs E. Dana

Dear Madam

Any repairs made on the steps or boundary posts on your lot should be at your expense.

I have men in the employ of the Corporation who can do the work in the most thorough way.

To put the steps in good order would cost $700 and to cut off all the corner posts (which is better than filling them as the rust from the iron rods will show after a time) making them as good as new, raising them a little to allow for cutting off and numbering one post with lot number $10. more, unless both jobs are done at once, when they can be done for $15.00 If you prefer to have the work done by someone not connected with the Corporation, the necessary permit will be sent you as soon as you notify us whom you wish to employ.
