an order was given the Gardener here to take care of lot #2197 Elder Pa. belonging to N. G. Child with plants, at an annual expense of $8.00, until countermanded. I have not received any request to discontinue the above since then, but deem it proper to advise you in the premises. The order for 1874 and thereafter was signed "N. G. I shall continue to execute the order, until instructed to the contrary.

Very Respectfully

Andrew Robeson Esq

Dear Sir

The price for the perpetual care of your lot could be about $450 or 500. which covers the yearly care of the lot & the repair or renewal of the sod or monument when necessary. This sum is definitely fixed by our Trustees, and they agree in their contract to keep the lot in order whether the sum proves sufficient or not.

You can deposit with the corporation any sum you see fit (say no less than $150) to be held by them in trust and the income expended on the lot. In this case they do not guarantee that the sum shall be sufficient, they only agree to spend the income as judiciously as possible.

In case you wish to make either of these arrangements I shall be happy to hear from you.

The address of the parties who had the care of the lot last season is P. O'Brien & Son, 88 Sparks St. Cambridge.

In case you desire to choose your plants ^out here you can do so at our greenhouses near the Entrance. Our gardener's name is Collins.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering

George F. Parkman Esq

Dear Sir

Within an short time an order has been received from you for the care of your lot #326. for the coming service year.

Another order has been given by Miss E.S. Parkman to Mr O'Brien who takes care of some of the lots in the cemetery.

The corporation has taken the care of your lot for a number of years, and I know of no reason why the work has not been satisfactory, so that I hope you will continue the care of the lot with the corporation.

It is the desire of the Trustees that all work in the Cemetery should be done by the regular Employees of the corporation as far as it is acceptable to proprietors of both.

Unless I hear from you to the contrary I will take the care of your lot as usual, and if anything in regard to the work is not satisfactory, I will endeavor to have it changed.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt.

Dear Sir

Your favor of yesterday in regard to fastening notice "under perpetual care of the corporation" to the tomb fronts lots #2940 and #2941 is before me.

More than a year ago, the corporation discontinued the placing of signs on those lots under this care, as you have taken the trouble to write me in regard to it. I will have your letter to the Trustees, tho' I do not know that they can make any exception.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering

Dear Sir

I have discovered two errors today on the gate register of Interments, which I call your attention to.

(1) David Fisher Ada removed to grave 96 St. Matthew's Lot

#3280 on

(2) Matthew Schmidt #333 grave St Matthew's Lot should be St. John's Lot.

Yours truly
