If you go straight between Tarsus and Antiochetta
Cyprus is revealed one hundred miles
into the middle of the sea, where Nicosia is,
A regal city surrounded by land, as well as Famagusta
Which is a great commercial port
facing the sea on the east; and the coast
of the island as it goes around [circumference] is five hundred [miles]
and it is two hundred miles in length.

Between Laodicea and Tortosa to the east
The aforesaid island faces the shore
And in the said zone going west
you see Rhodes, Methone^{1in Messenia, in Greece}, and then Messina^2Italy,
Cagliari^3Sardinia and Majorca, and then following that Valencia, Portugal, and its neighbors.
From Famagusta to Beirut is two hundred [miles],
[until???] to Alexandria on a single wind.

From Antiochetta to Rhodes by this aforementioned wind
without sailing along the coast
[but rather] by the sea route is three hundred miles
