Monday 15th Dr Norrie visited and prescribed for Evalyne Bruce who came from the Hospital with a sprained ankle and has been laid up ever since The Doctor says it wa a very servere sprain and that she will not be able to use the ankle for some weeks Mary Curtis & M A Mitchell were also prescribed for. 10 pupils

Saturday 20th The Ladies of the Committee gave the Inmates a treat in commemoration of the Jubilee of this Institution. Mr Harrison providing them with an entertainment in the evening when Mr Mickleman amused them with conjuring & slights of hand tricks. Several of the Ladies and some of the Gentlemen of the Committee honouring them with their presence Laundress returned to her duties

Monday 22nd Mary OBrien was taken away today by Detectives to appear at the Police Court respecting her dead child. 10 pupils

Reeve's offer of a Lecture to the Inmates with a promise of prizes for the three best essays considered, the Matron was directed to write thanking Mr. Reeve and Say the Ladies consider the Gentlemen will be the best ajudicators. 10 pupils

Saturday Savings Bank the Matron took her to the Bank and saw the money placed there, M A Misson had only left her Situation one month since which she had received very kind letters from her employers. Laundress out for the afternoon
