Monday Feb 10

Very much milder today. Found it very warm walking from tram-car to the Prep. Great quantity of snow on the ground. Gladys sitting in chair when I arrived where she remained while she ate her lunch. Dorothy up in the aft. J.S.H.G. returning with her for tea.

1st Mendelssohn concert of the season. B.E.W., Edmund, Harold, Dorothy, E.I., W.J.A., Laura & Isabel all attended. Alfred & I played cribbage. Eth. to Ewart's to see Carl. Grieg & Beethoven. The Theo. Thomas Orchestra. Very fine. The death of a sister of the Countess Grey caused the cancelling of all their Excellencies' engagements. They were to have been present for the first time at the Mendel. concerts on Tuesday & Wednesday.
