C. U. Cotting, Esq., Boston.

Dear Sir:-

Your note of yesterday is received. The deposit named for the perpetual care with guaranty of the monument erected on the R.H.Eddy lot #4761 was two hundred and seventy five (275) dollars.

In front of the Eddy tomb on lot #362 (for the perpetual care of which you paid last January) are two shrubs much overgrown, and it would be better to remove them altogether, or replace with younger plants. Is there any objections to so doing?

Yours truly, J.W. Lovering Supt.

#3585-S

MRS. RICHARD MARTIN, BRIDGEPORT, CONN.

Dear Madam:-

Your note enclosing $6.00 is received. I send you receipted bill for amount due $5.50, and will pass the fifty cents to your credit for next year.

Respectfully yours, Supt.

Dear Sir

The Thorndike lot appears to me to be in as good condition as could be expected at this season of the year. The adjoining lot has been top dressed with manure, but the Thorndike lot, as well as all other lots under perpetual care has received two top dressings with fertilizer, which is considered as on the whole more satisfactory & much neater. If, however, it would be more satisfactory to the owners to have manure used, I can have some put on.

Yrs truly

J.W. Lovering Supt.

C. U. Cotting Esq.

Dear Sir,

I have conferred with the Committee on Lots of our Cemetery, upon the question proposed by you - whether they would allow Mrs Willard to take charge of her lot ^no. 801, during her lifetime, and would place to her credit a certain proportion of the income of the fund of three hundred and fifty ($350) dollars to meet any bills which she may authorize for such care: ~

And I am authorized to say that they will assent to this arrangement, and will place five per centum of such principal to her credit for such care.

Respectfully yours

Madam,

I wrote you some weeks since asking you if you had decided whether to take your lot in the rectangular form, in which it was first reported, ie, 15 ft by 20 ft or whether to extend one side of it back according to the land there is there, as recommended you by the Superintendents and have received no reply from you.-

It is important that I should be informed, until which time I can make you no deed.

Respectfully yours

A.J. Coolidge Secretary of Mt Auburn

Please send your reply to me..

Dear Sir,

I have shown two plans of your lot in Mt Auburn to Mr Curtis viz a tracing of the present location, and one of the proposed location, and stated as fairly as possible your views.

He wished me to leave them with him, and to say to you that he would be pleased to confer with you about the matter.

I accordingly do so.

Very respectfully You Obt Servt

Dear Sir,

As you propose to come in^early in the week, I thought it better to return to you the report of today, to allow you to add to it the 1448 feet for Chas. A. Cotting. Of this 330 ft should be reported as an addition to lot no. 3012 - Mary M. Bourne - and 1118 feet report as a new lot to Chas. U. Cotting, giving it a new number. You had better put it into our [?] for him to go to Mr Bond with & enclose to him by mail Monday morning, or leave with me before 9 o'clock.

No. 3691 I have applied to lot of Mrs Henry L. Richardson, on Snowdrop P. No. 3727 to ^half of old lot of Martha Lithgow, on Tulip Path. I will report to which half as soon as I can ascertain from the heirs.

The iron numbers had better be transferred to those lots now in order to avoid mistakes.

Yours truly

A.J. Coolidge Sec.
