Mr Addams Sir

As this peace was Laid befor you Last April for you oppinnion upon it & you then Seemed to Regret the want of helth & [Lasure?] to Giv it a perusal, the Author haveing Drafted it over & Made it Shorter, he again Request you to Give it a thorough perusal, & If you think proper to take the opinion of Some of the Boston Republicans upon it, For it is thought that if all or a Major part of the Republican printers would Unite (under our present Circumstances) to publish it with a page or two Left Blank Ready for Signing, & at the Same time advertise the Magazen Described in it, such a Society would be Immediately formed, & would Make a Common Cause of Defending the Libberty of the press, So that Republican printers would not be personal Sufferers by any prosicution, what Ever

It is also thought that unless Some Spedy & Cheeper Method is adopted to Convey knoledg than by the present Mode of newspapers we Shall not Injoy the Libberty of the press Long, for their is not one [fist?] part of the Common farmers & Labourer that are the Most Interested in the Measures of the times, that git any Information from them, for they Cannot beat the Expense of the time & Money they Cost

Therefore you are again Requested to Give it a thorough perusal

The Barer will Leave it with you, & it will be Called for again in the Corse of a Month, purhaps, But if it Should be thought worthey of atention Sooner, if you will Inserte a Single Line in the Chronicle that, A Conference is Desired with the Labourer, it will be Immediately attended to

NB that the peace is Defitient in Many Respects is a truth, But if on the hole it is thought worth printing it is proposed to have it Drafted over & [Coreated?] by Some Larned Republican

A further Description of the proposed Labourers Monthly Magazen

It is ment to Convey by this Magazen as nearly all the knoledge Described in page 28. as posable, But it is thought that one Containing 40 or 50 pages of the Common pamphely Life would be full Large anough for the perusal of a Common farmer or Labourer, & their aught to be Grate Care & panes taken in filling Many of the first Numbers So as to Lay a Good foundation for obtaining So knoledges for it is Ment to have them all Bound together in yearly Voloms, & preferred Safe to the Latest Generation, So that those that Join the Society years hence will be Induced to pur ches the hole of them from the beginning, The first numbers aught to Contain both the State and Federal Constitutions, Compleat, with the prinsaples and Reasons on which they ware made, So that the Many, May See when or whare in they have bin Broeken ot Misconstured to favour the Interprets of the few

Also a Congressional Reqester aught to be Contained in them from thefirst Congress in 1789 to this time, with the names of the Members of Each Congress & the numbers of Votes they ware Chosen by, & the year & [Nays?] on Many of the Most Important Matters they have Desided upon, together with the Substance [?] of the prinsaple argument used on both sides, Such a Reqester would Show how Much we have neglected attendance on Elections, Also a State Reqester Should be kept in them, Conatining the number of towns that have a Right to send Representitives, So that all Might know when we are fully & fairly Represented, & whare the Blame Lays when we are not, [?]

If the Republican printers would Unite In Establishing Such Meens of knoledge it would add Vastly to their bisness & Importance, & the tory papers & printters would Soone Go out of Use & Dry away Like Due before the Sun

The author has bin teased in his Mind with these things for Many years & is urged from a [Contiensness?] of Duty to offer them for publication, & however unworthy attention they May appear to be, he Requests you to give a Short oppinnion upon them, Eyther In Wrighting or Verbally to the Person that Calls for these papers again

In so Doing you will Grately oblige the author

That this peace is Grately Defitiant in Speling & Grammar is a truth and that their May be Many things Contained in it [needles?] & Excepttionable is provable, But If on the hole it is thought to be of publick utility, it is proposed to have it Drafted over & Corrected by Some Republican of Larning and ability Before it is printed

And although it is thought to be perfectly Constitutional yet to prevent an undue advantage being taken against it, It is proposed to have all or a prinsaple parte of the Republican printers in the United States, Consulted or agreed with Before it is published, So that it might be Made publick all over the States at once, & the Labourers Magazein Described in it published advertised by the printers at the Same time

Also that their should be a page or two Left [bnanck?] at the Close of the Constitution Redy for Signing, If Such a Society was formed & Such a Magazien in Circulation, it would Soone Give a Vast prehiminance to the Republican printers over the others, & furnish them with a plenty of [?]

On the hole of which & the 4 following Questions your opinnion is humbly Requested in Wrighting at the bottom or on the backside of this paper

I {first} Would it answer any Good purpose without Dainger to the author to have it pri 2. Could the author Receive any profits by the Sale of the Books 3. On what tarmes Could it be printed by any printer {fourth} wheather you would print it on any tarmes & cc

NB If you Decline Giving an answer in wrighting it May be Done to the [Borer?]
