114 — 1885 — — Westmore, Vt. — Willoughby Lake. — July 23 — To-day has been clear and not hot. The air here is delicious. Our excursion to-day has been up Willoughby Mt. We, Messrs. Churchill, Chadbourne & myself, followed the path way to the summit, obtaining fine views along the way. We descended on the north side of the Mt., making our own way through the woods. 115 — 1885 — — Westmore, Vt. — — Willoughby Lake — — July 24 — This A.M. Mrs D. & I took the little steamer "Magie" and sailed down the Lake, crossing twice, to the valley of Westmore. We made a short stay there and returned in time for dinner. The air on the water was refreshing and the Mt. cliffs showed in all their boldness.
