9/14/57 Saturday eve.

Dr. Dear

I said Id fill one of these cards some day but I'll try to be brief. Left the house at 11 A.M. in a soft rain and too a poor kid with us thats been locked up in the Fernell School over 15 yrs. He is 25 big + strong but retarded. Loves fishing off the pier but never catches anything We got 30 flounders and every one amazed and pleased him and as we started home at 6 P.M. and he whispered to me "Would he let me [stear?] it in?" He did and Dr it was a delightful day. We went in slowly and were escorted all the way by a big green headed duck with a white collar on and a little drab girl duck. A flock of tiny little sand pipers ran along the shore with us and Gulls + Wild Duck over head. You were with us and for seven lovely hours I really lived. Love dear Mae

Its a long time since I've seen or heard from you. You know that I think of you daily don't you? I am writing a book and have so much of it done that I'm surprising myself. It may be no good but EleanneHall types for me and she thinks it's wonderful. Now what I'm writing for is to ask you if I may write some about you and the organization and the D.D etc? Y[?] I'd get your approval before I shared it to anyone. Or can you tell me that Supt. of Gahatchipi's name. I should know it. Didn't you and Miss Bidi and her have an apartment together in Cambridge when you first came to Mass? Cynthia would let me know if your too busy. Eleanne wants me to see a lawyer next week for a copy right or something. I must have enough done to fill half a

book and I have plenty in my head that I'm dying to get down. Any little known facts that could tell me would be a great help but its [unpressing?] how much I know. Mother + I had some great talks together and I hope you will allow me to write it down. Please let me know Dr. I don't know anything but good about you but there are some that I can [pan?] a little. I didn't get my Harmony News and Eleanne received hers. I like to get it to see whats going on. Who do I write to? I won't take up any more of your time dear and hope you will let me tell the world how wonderful you are.
