Mrs Phelps Devils Cake

cook together 1 cup brow[n] sugar 1 cup grated chocolate 1 cup sweet milk When cool add to cake and bake in loaf.

Cake part

1 cup brown sugar 1/2 " butter 1/2 " sweet milk 2 eggs. 1 T-spoon soda 2 cups flour. (Vanilla)

Margrets Rocks

2 cups oatmeal, 2 " flour, 1 cup raise[ns] 1 " sugar 1 shortinn[g] 2 eggs 1 teaspoon soda 5 tablespoons of sour milk, a little sa[lt]

Mrs Schnables Brown Cake

1 cup Mollasses yolk of one egg 1 tablespoon Sugas Mix these together then add 2 1/2 cups flou[r 1 cup boiling water 2 teaspoons soda spices to taste

Filling

1 cup Sugar with enough to disolve it and boil to a syrup add 1 cup chopped raisens and beaten white of egg. Spread between the layers
