Saml T. Snow. Esq., Chairn Comm on Lots

Dear Sir,

About four days ago Mr. Jonathan Mann came to me as agent for Mr J. C. Buchnam, propr, of lot. 4215 - 16, Hazel Dell, to see on what terms we would do the labor & furnish the staple materials for a tomb he is preparing to build there.

I asked him to put his ideas in writing, but as time pressed, I wrote them down & he signed the letter which I enclose.

I also enclose a draft of a letter about such.

as I should have written in similar cases; but under the circumstances I thought it right to submit the matter for your action before making any contract with him.

The prices I have named to him are our regular rates, as near as possible, for jobbers or "the trade" about 10% lower or from 5 to 10 per cent lower on labor, gravel, loam, manure & sods, than our regular rates to proprietors, but on brick, lime & cement no lower.

Mr. Mann would like an answer this week, as he has to make arrangements of some kind pretty soon

Mr. Bucknam's tomb is generally similar to the other tombs in Hazel Dell, & not

larger; it is to have a ^granite front sand stone arched roof in part.

The other tomb we are to build is exactly like the other tomb there; granite front & brick arched roof.

Yours Truly, C.W. Folsom Supt.

P.S. I enclose Mr Mann's plan of the granite front, which please return & oblige

Yours truly, C.W.F. Supt.
