Dear Sir

Your letter to the Treasurer in regard to the headstone of Horatio Greenough has been sent to me for reply.

The records here show nothing more than you already know. that the burial of Horatio Greenough was made in lot 97.

No removal of any slab has been made with my knowledge during the past fifteen years.

Yrs truly J.W. Lovering Supt.

Mrs Jarvis Williams E. Acton Mass.

Dear Madam

Your note is received. We received #4095 4 [Century?] plants from Messrs O'Brien & Son but not the ivy of which you speak.-

Your lot is in very good cond-ition. I presume you know that the old tree stump on which the woodbine grew fell down a year or two ago. The woodbine is lying on the ground and is quite vigorous - some of the branches have begun to climb on the monument. Do you wish the vine to grow over the monument or shall we train it away from it

Very respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt. pr J.G.S.

Mrs Lydia M. Allen Chelsea

Dear madam

Your note is received. The face of the headstone can be cut off and the new inscription cut on as you desire. It would be cheaper and would make a better job to keep the word Husband on front as now and cut the name and date etc on the back. Very many headstones are finished in that way You will have to get a stonecutter to do the workwe do not have men who do that sort of work

Saml A. Green Esq

Dear Sir

I enclose you sketch showing approximate position of monument in lot. There will be no difficulty in making the base 4'-6" square or even a little more.

Yrs truly J.W. Lovering Supt.

W.M. Baker Esq Boston

Dear Sir

Your note is received The only posts on the lot are those at the corners. I cannot find that there was any under-standing as to placing extra posts on the lot- Such posts set in place would cost $3.50 each.

Very respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt. pr J.G.S.
