Found JMS's weren't working from III DP to AMPEX Core 1 found FB01 in III wasn't getting through to MA.

Re-cut random wire at III

1K10R - 1K10S

Added Klugg wire 1K10R - 1J2L down at 2030.. Time to fix 1 hr 45 min.

New 4-channel D-A output amplifiers installed (see drwgs. in kluge bay binder). N.B. that power supply no. 2 on the plenum door of Bay 2 is now set to +15 V. and -7 V.

See me before changing!

Also, four filters are now in boxes on top of Bay 2. Each box (channels A and B) has two filters, switch selectable.

Ground terminals on Acc outlets on Ampex interface removed from signal ground and placed on power line ground. .1μf capacitors were put from each side of 110 V line to ground on power controller output on interface. Now, Turning III processor on & off and an electric drill run from aux power outlets cause No problems to Ampex Core

Found that Margin readings taken by J.G. On 3/7/68 and 3/8/68 on C.P. with T.S. Main were invalid because of a misunderstanding of the program. Repeated Margin & Tests using T.S. Main on 166, 1B through 1M

New heads put on DTA 1 + 2 and sandblasted guides on DTA 1, 2, 3, + 4. DTA 1 tested w/exdata and DTA2 tested w/exdata over 1/2 of a tape. Cables for DTA 3 + 4 not yet reconnected

[Noel/Doel?] Pease from DEC worked on 545 Tape drive. Found pinch rollers were mildly out of adjustment. Adjusted them. Found Read Amps with random settings, adjusted them to. 6 V P ~ P outout. Had trouble with picking up random bits at 800 BPI. Adjusted the readers to other random settings. Ran MAG TAPE DATA TEST FOR ABOUT 20 MIN at 800 bpi with high slice levels. No errors. At low slice levels the tape pick up bits [~?] every 2 min.

Phil McKay and P. Petit moved Ampex Box 0 zone gate enable from RT290 to RT320; noise got better on some bits, worse on others. Moved to RT260; better (!!) on some, worse on others. MYSTERY!! DMP

The Voltage on the lamps is 16V, and the lamps that had been used were #330 (which are rated at 14V. J. Gleason 1800 QI STILL DOWN Worked on QI. Replaced HV [veed?] relay with a relay on 110V line to HV supply. In order to do this, the "Voltage Present" circuit was disabled by disconnecting its HV input and grounding the output. HV now works fine but there semes to be some bug introduced by the previous HV arcs, No vidio output from camera. may be a destroyed or amp. Ted [Pamfry?]
