Rozell letters

Hi Grandma! Not very much time right now but I'm trying to get through this card so I can mail it here in Dublin before we get on the train to Killarney. I really love Ireland! People are really friendly and hospitable and extremely helpful, sometimes you don't ever have to ask. Dublin itself is really nice especially as big cities go and despite the on and off rain we've had for two days--it's like travelling in the winter and its the middle of July! This is really crazy! All goes well. About 4 more days to spend in Ireland and then back to England until I leave for Washington (around the 30th or 31st probably.) Saw Trinity college yesterday--looks like a nice place to go to school, not bad at all. Well, I'm running out of room as usual. Take care and I'll see you at our house in a month -Love you- Vickie

Hi Grandma! This is Calvi on the island of Corsica in the Mediteranien South of France. The part in the center of the picture is the old citadel and to the right is the town. It's obviously a very small town, which is probably why Julie and I like it so very much. We had our first really beautiful day of this part of the trip - not overcast or raining. We're in the supposedly sunny south of France and have been soaked twice, on two different days in two different towns by sudden rain--it was really getting to be ridiculous, especially since all you can do in many of these towns is wander around or try and get a tan. We did both of those in Calvi today and both came away with beautiful sunburns on our backs--totally by accident, we just out did it a little which is easy to do with the skin our family has. Anyway, things are going pretty well, we're having some trouble with getting to Rome and are rearranging our itinerary slightly but all is well. Take care and I'll see you in August. I LOVE YOU! Hi Grandma! We're in Italy now (obviously) and really enjoying it a lot. The weather is really great and the food is even better (and I thought I was going to lose weight on this trip -- boy was I wrong about (u)that(/u)!) We didn't have much time in Rome -- about a day and a half, but we managed to see the Pantheon, the Colesseum, the Vatican and most of the Vatican museums and a few other odds and ends of sights we stuck in along the way. It doesn't sound like much, but it was a miracle especially as tired as we were. We got into Florence yesterday, and didn't really have time to do much so we got a good nights sleep which we can always use. Moved to the hostel this morning, and saw a Cathedral and half of a museum/gallery. Tomorrow we're off to Siena for a smaller city view of Italy and to catch part of a twice yearly festival (the only one we'll see while in Europe, we're mainly avoiding the rest) All goes well, and its really hard to believe I'll be home in a little more than a month -- I LOVE YOU -Vickie
